I ordered the Whoopie sling Adjustable Ridgeline. It is all gray and somewhat hard to tell which side to adjust when pulling through the ‘sleeve’. Would it be safe to mark with a sharpie pen and not degrade the material in any way or any recommendations to mark a desired length? Also, I got it as short as possible and loop to loop, it is 91 inches, with barely enough room to spare to hook onto the ENO hammock’s carabiners, which will be clipped into the Atlas straps. It is going to be used on a 112 inch ENO Doublenest as a Structural Ridgeline – would 93 inches be a good distance for a proper hang? Using the 83% rule everyone recommends which comes out to 92.96Also if I want to make it shorter, are there special knots or loops I can tie to make it shorter without compromising the line’s integrity?
