The tight weave is laminated with an eco-friendly adhesive to our revolutionary Challenge RUV™ film. The result is a textile that is incredibly strong, lightweight, and waterproof to 200 psi. Ultra100X – Our lightest UltraWeave pack fabric – at 3.3 oz/yd², it has double the tear strength and almost double the abrasion resistance of 500d 8oz Cordura®! UHMWPE Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene UHMWPE fibers are the lightest and strongest fibers commercially available, with a tensile strength 15x stronger than steel. UHMWPE is created by a gel-spun extrusion process which draws out extremely long chains of polyethylene, aligned along a molecular backbone.
