My Hornady .490 swedged lead round balls began to burn through .018″ patches in my 30 year old Hatfield and right off the bat while working up loads of 60-70g Goex FFg in newly built Pedersoli Kentucky Rifle and Investarms Bridger Hawken kits. Bumped up to .020″ patches and no burn through with great, consistent accuracy out to 100yds.
