Hornady 50 Cal .499 Dia 340 Grain Bore Driver ELD-X Bullet (12)

I bought a Thompson Center 209-50 magnum Encore in 1999 and just never got around to shooting it… fast forward 25 years and I took it out of the box, scoped it, purchased 24 of the Hornady 340gr. ELD Bore Drivers and took it to the range today, with an 84 grain by weight charge of 2F Triple 7… it produced 1748 FPS average over 5 shots, and zeroed on the 3rd shot at 104 (just the range) yards and the next 2 shots were touching… with a final 3 shot group of .77 center to center. These are dang good bullets. What your chronograph (12’ in front of the muzzle) and the 5 shot fired through the chronograph the cup at the back of the bullet leaves faster than I thought and took out my LCD screen of the chronograph… I found the 5/8” dent and the cup below my tripod.
